Shannon Doran Rauen has spent nearly a decade in the nonprofit sector, working for organizations on both the local and national level. She recently joined the Center for Nonprofit Excellence as their Membership and Capacity Builder.
Previously, Shannon worked for the Colorado Springs Rising Professionals and the CGSC Foundation. In 2005, she was named the Executive Director of the Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN), the only national organization whose sole mission is preparing college women for leadership in the public arena. She frequently speaks on the topic of women’s leadership development to organizations including the Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington, National Conference for College Women Student Leaders, and US State Department’s Middle East Partnership Initiative.
As an Army spouse, Shannon is an active volunteer with the Family Readiness Group program, volunteering nearly 4,000 hours since 2010. She holds a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development as well as a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership.
